Improving the lives of residents with the tranquility of nature

The Columbia House Enhancement Society is transforming the way we think about nursing homes with the creation of the Healing Garden, a beautiful oasis right next to Columbia House. Designed to provide a warm, compassionate space, especially during the sunny summer months, this garden invites everyone—residents, families, staff, and the community—to come and enjoy at least an hour a day in nature. Thanks to the generous support of Interior Health and our wonderful donors, this two-acre Healing Garden has blossomed into a vibrant, therapeutic space, perfect for relaxation and sensory enrichment. It’s a place where hearts can heal and connections can flourish.

Many patients feel vulnerable, frightened and worried. The Healing Garden goes a long way in mitigating those fears and conditions.
